The Trust currently supports 23 family members in 3 families. We follow a holistic approach to care, which focuses on the physical as well as emotional development of the individual within a family and community context. Our care prioritises family resilience, and takes them through a lifecycle starting with emergency relief and progressing through rehabilitation, development and autonomy where they are able to support themselves. Our ultimate objective is that they reach a stage of reciprocity where they contribute meaningfully within their community and society.
Victoria was the first young lady who we enrolled in our care program. Today she is autonomous and the mother of two beautiful girls. She completed a qualification in Community-Based Social Interventions and is pursuing her desire to give back by working full-time at the Trust as a care co-ordinator. Read her full story here.
Your contributions to the Care Programme are used to cover the costs of our care team, but are also used to support the direct needs of our beneficiaries when the family and domain-specific funds are depleted.
